Our valve casting manufacturing capabilities
Tianhui Machine has both casting and machining capabilities to produce valve parts. Our casting process can produce near-net or net shapes while minimizing material waste. Additional machining services allow us to provide our customers with finished valve castings.
Investment Casting
Investment casting is a precision casting process that begins with making a wax pattern, which is an exact replica of the desired shape. The process produces valve castings with a smooth surface finish and high dimensional accuracy. As such, it is the preferred manufacturing method for producing steel valve castings that require complex geometries and tight tolerances.
Sand Casting
Sand casting is another casting process different from investment casting. It is mainly used to make larger cast iron valve castings. The surface finish and dimensional accuracy are slightly worse than investment casting, but the cost is lower. Tianhui Machine can produce sand cast valve bodies, bonnets or other parts from gray iron or ductile iron materials.
CNC Machining
CNC machining is often performed as a secondary process after casting to achieve precise dimensions and a smooth surface finish. Tianhui Machine's CNC machining process involves using computer-controlled tools to remove excess material to meet the precise specifications of valve parts. As a result, we can provide our customers with finished valve castings including machining.

How to choose the appropriate casting process for valve parts?
Tianhui Machine can customize valve components using a variety of casting processes, such as investment casting, sand casting, and die casting. The choice of casting process depends mainly on the material and part structure. For example, stainless steel valve body parts are mainly produced by investment casting. If the material is iron, the sand casting process is the right choice.
What is the lead time for valve castings?
For a new design of valve castings, Tianhui Machine can complete the first sample in 4-5 weeks and mass production in another 5-6 weeks. Before mass production, the sample will first be sent to the customer for approval.
